Apple pie

I learned this recipe on a TV show. It seems not so difficult, so I tried it and guess what, it is not so difficult.

Ingredients:-
125 gm room butter
125 gm white sugar
250 gms self rising flour
1 1/2 kg apples
1 lemon
75 gm raisins
10 gm currants
Little cinnamon
1 tbsp custard
150 gm almond paste
1 egg yolk
powder sugar
Round pie dish

Grate the lemon for zest and juice the lemon. Now crumble the butter with sugar and then add lemon zest and juice. Add 1 tbsp water to flour and mix it with the above butter mix. Let this mix to stand for 3-4 hours or preferable 1 night at a cool place.
Slice apple and mix with raisins, currants, cinnamon, custard and 4 tbsp apricot jam.
Heat oven to 200 C. Knead the stand out flour mix to a dough till oven is warming up.
Roll dough into thin round sheet slightly larger than pie dish. Now place this dough sheet in to the pie dish.
Knead almond paste with 1 tbsp butter and 1 egg yolk smoothly. Add this mix on top of the sheet on the pie dish.
Now add the apple mix and bake at 200 C for 50 minutes and then on 220 C for 10 minutes.

Your yummy apple pie is ready to serve.
