Sambhar Vada with coconut chutney

My mouth is watering even thinking about it. Had them just 2 hrs before and still carving for more. The sambhar vada is a South Indian Snack or Breakfast. And the coconut chutney is must for it. I usually eat vadas just like that but the whole taste of vada lies with sambhar and the chutney. Not at all joking, try it and you will know....

Ingredients:-

2 cup Urad dal ( washed )
1/2 cup Moong dal (washed)
Little salt
1 green chilly, finely chopped
Oil for deep frying

Soak Urad and moong daal in water for 3 hrs.
Make a paste out of it. Try to use less water, for this your mixer or blender should be good one. Otherwise your vadas wont be good. Now beat this mixture for 3-4 minute untill little fluffy. Test if the mixture is ready by putting little mix in water. If it sinks down you need to beat some more and that your mix is not ready.
After this test, add salt and green chilly to it. In the mean while heat the oil in a deep pan. Now put this mix with the help of spoon in the oil, cook properly and remove and drain the extra oil.

Serve these hot vadas with Sambhar and coconut chutney.

P.S. The recipe for sambhar and coconut chutney is there seperately in the blog ....
