Oat Crisp with Apple n Pear filling

Oatmeal is a healthy food with its nutritious content. As it has cholesterol lowering properties , it best for all kind of people. Its good meal for young ones also. And making a sweet out of it is great. So here I am sharing a nice sweet oat crisp with fruit filling in it.

Using brown sugar is must for this dish. It gives the nice texture and flavor to the Crisp.
I enjoy eating it, Hope You all will like it.

Filling:
  • 2 cups apples, peeled and diced (about 2 large)
  • 2 cups Pears, peeled and diced(about 3 large)
  • 2 tablespoons Brown Sugar
  • 1 1/2 teaspoons ground cinnamon
  • 1 teaspoon ground nutmeg
  • 3/4 cup water
Crisp:
  • 1 cup oats
  • 1/3 cup all purpose flour(maida)
  • 3/4 cup brown sugar
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 cup butter or margarine, melted
Place the diced apples and pears in the Baking dish. Now sprinkle 2 tbsp Brown sugar, cinnamon, nutmeg and water on these fruits.
Combine all the dry ingredients of the crisp(oats, flour, salt, sugar) and now add the melted butter to this. This mixture will become crumbly. Now sprinkle this mixture on top of the fruit mixture.
Bake this at 180 C for 30-40 min.
Serve this crisp HOT with Vanilla ice-cream.
It taste better when its hot...
