Using brown sugar is must for this dish. It gives the nice texture and flavor to the Crisp.
I enjoy eating it, Hope You all will like it.
Filling:
- 2 cups apples, peeled and diced (about 2 large)
- 2 cups Pears, peeled and diced(about 3 large)
- 2 tablespoons Brown Sugar
- 1 1/2 teaspoons ground cinnamon
- 1 teaspoon ground nutmeg
- 3/4 cup water
- 1 cup oats
- 1/3 cup all purpose flour(maida)
- 3/4 cup brown sugar
- 1/4 teaspoon salt
- 1/2 cup butter or margarine, melted
Combine all the dry ingredients of the crisp(oats,flour, salt, sugar) and now add the melted butter to this. This mixture will become crumbly. Now sprinkle this mixture on top of the fruit mixture.
Bake this at 180 C for 30-40 min.
Serve this crisp HOT with Vanilla ice-cream.

Mmmm... crisps. I love masking a sweet indulgence in good-for-you undertones.
Me too find some or other way to feel healthy with all the sweet intakes :)
